PWA is growing and changing its name to PMA!

Product Media Association (PMA) is the new name of the Swedish trade association for product media. This was announced at a member meeting held by PWA on March 13 at the Textile Fashion Center in Borås. During the meeting, the association also presented its vision, operational plan, a training program – a so-called CSRD Academy – and some future collaboration partners.

PMA aims to grow the overall product media market by:

  • Supporting marketing and brand-building efforts for the industry

  • Representing the association and conducting active lobbying towards authorities

  • Increasing awareness of the industry's importance by offering training

  • Conducting industry research to enhance knowledge about product media and its value for customers

  • Promoting trade shows and other events for the association’s members

  • Collaborating with other industry associations, companies, and organizations to develop the sector

PMA will launch a CSRD Academy (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) starting in April 2025. Members will be offered free training covering general information about the directive as well as deeper insights into, for example, GSPR (General Safety and Performance Requirements).PMA will also continue its collaboration with the Nordic Textile Academy, a hub for education and expertise in textiles, to share up-to-date knowledge on textile sustainability, laws, and regulations.

The previous SBPR partnership with DHL will continue, but has been renegotiated in 2024 under a new PMA agreement. Representatives from DHL Freight attended the member meeting. Unitedprofile was also present and introduced the benefits of a new collaboration, where they will act as a digital resource to help all stakeholders grow alongside PMA in various areas.

Since the change of statutes in September, PMA has grown by 23 new members and now includes 84 member companies, both suppliers and distributors, who work with products aimed at strengthening end customers’ brands and brand profiles.A full member list is available at www.productmediaassociation.com.
