Member Survey Insights: Priorities, Concerns and Opportunities

Across Europe, the promotional products industry is navigating a period of transformation. Regular dialogue with members helps associations understand where the sector stands — and where it is heading.

Recent exchanges within the EAC network reveal several consistent priorities.

Sustainability remains at the top of the agenda. Members are focusing on material innovation, supply chain transparency, and compliance with evolving EU regulations. The ability to demonstrate credible environmental performance is seen not only as a responsibility, but also as a market differentiator.

Regulatory complexity is another key concern. From CSRD to Green Claims and Ecodesign requirements, companies must continuously adapt processes and documentation standards. Many members emphasise the need for coordinated European guidance and shared interpretation.

Digital transformation also ranks high. Data management, carbon tracking, and digital communication tools are becoming increasingly integrated into daily operations.

At the same time, opportunities are emerging. Cross-border cooperation within Europe offers potential for shared standards, stronger advocacy, and collective positioning of the industry.

Listening to members is essential. Surveys and structured feedback processes allow associations to identify trends early, support informed decision-making, and align advocacy efforts with real business needs.

At EAC, we see our role as a bridge — connecting national associations, facilitating knowledge exchange, and ensuring that European perspectives are heard at international level.
